TAHDIB AL AHKAM

10 VOLUMES

“Tahdib al-Ahkam” (The Refinement of Laws) is a pivotal work in Shia Islamic jurisprudence, authored by Sheikh Abu Ja’far Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Tusi. Written in the 10th and 11th centuries CE, it is a comprehensive compilation of legal rulings derived from hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the Imams of Ahlulbayt. Sheikh Tusi’s goal was to refine and systematize Shia legal principles, organizing them into clear categories that cover various aspects of Islamic law, such as prayer, purification, and fasting.

The book distinguishes authentic narrations from weak ones and serves as a critical resource for both legal guidance and theological study. “Tahdib al-Ahkam” had a profound influence on Shia jurisprudence and continues to be an essential reference for knowledge seekers, shaping the course of Islamic legal thought in the Shia tradition.
